Bidirectional charging is part of the future of smart energy systems. It enables electric vehicles to be used as energy storage units, helping to balance the power grid, reduce energy costs, and support more efficient use of renewable energy.
Electric vehicle expert and YouTuber Harri Salo visited us in Turku to discuss bidirectional charging. During his visit, we showcased our Latinki11 DC charger, which enables bidirectional charging, and demonstrated its features. In the video, we also show how energy can be discharged from an electric vehicle battery.
