Project Background
The goal was to provide employees with a convenient and efficient way to charge their electric vehicles at the workplace parking area. The goal was to implement a workplace charging solution that scales to meet growing needs and enables smooth charging.
Workplace Charging Infrastructure with Mennekes Charging Stations
The workplace charging points were installed using our supplied Mennekes charging stations with a maximum charging power of 22 kW. These chargers were mounted on durable, two-part stainless steel (RST) poles with optional collision protection. This structure provides a stable and stylish installation in the parking area, preventing damage to the charging stations.

The charging stations were delivered in both Type 2 socket models and fixed-cable versions with a 7.5-meter Type 2 charging cable. The longer cable is particularly suitable for demanding environments or locations where the standard five-meter cable does not reach. These charging stations offer a versatile solution for different electric vehicle charging needs. Employees can charge their vehicles either freely or by authenticating with an RFID tag.
The backend system enables charging session monitoring and offers various payment and billing options, allowing the employer to allocate charging costs per user if necessary. Additionally, the system supports dynamic load management for up to 100 charging points, ensuring optimal utilization of the electrical network’s capacity without overloading it.
Summary
An efficient and scalable workplace charging solution was implemented, combining user-friendliness, cost-effectiveness, and dynamic load management. RFID authentication and backend system features ensure effortless charging management. Charging capacity is distributed optimally, and the solution can be easily expanded to meet increasing demand.
