Shared Charging Points Make Everyday Life Easier in Runosmäki

Project Background

A housing company in Runosmäki, Turku, has implemented an advanced charging solution to meet the growing needs of electric vehicle users. With the increasing number of EVs, the housing company decided to adopt a cost-effective and flexible shared charging system.

The Housing Company Provides 12 Shared Charging Points

Instead of installing one charger for each parking space, the housing company opted for a shared solution. Six INCH Duo chargers provide a total of 12 efficient charging points, allowing multiple users to charge their vehicles without requiring individual investments in personal chargers.

The charging stations offer a maximum power of 22 kW, ensuring that both plug-in hybrids and fully electric vehicles can charge quickly. The system enables seamless user authentication via RFID tags, without a need of mobile application.

For the housing company, this solution is both cost-effective and easy to manage. Thanks to its scalability, the system can be expanded as demand grows, ensuring that the charging infrastructure remains future-proof as EV adoption increases.

The housing company’s parking area has six shared charging stations.
