Project Background
As part of a broader renovation of the Linnasmäki parking area, the goal was to enhance the customer experience and provide seamless charging options for electric vehicle users. Consequently, a modern and user-friendly charging infrastructure was installed to serve the institute’s students, conference hotel guests, and employees.
Cost-efficient Charging Solution for the Institute and Conference Hotel
In this project, the selection of chargers was based on specific user needs. InterControl supplied ten INCH Pro charging stations, which were installed with Type 2 sockets on sturdy stainless steel (RST) poles. Two chargers were mounted on each pole, optimizing space and ensuring a visually appealing and efficient solution.
White INCH Pro chargers feature a maximum charging power of 22 kW, an intuitive LCD touchscreen, and Type 2 sockets, making charging effortless for users. Thanks to RFID authentication, students, conference hotel guests, and employees can easily identify themselves and start charging at any available station without the need for a separate app. The load management system optimizes the power distribution, ensuring a smooth and balanced charging experience for multiple vehicles simultaneously.
Special attention was also given to practicality, meaning that the existing functional car heating boxes were retained for customers using internal combustion engine vehicles.
