The popularity of electric vehicles has grown significantly in recent years, impacting the tourism and hotel industry as well. A spa hotel wanted to respond to the increasing demand for EV charging by providing high-quality charging options in its parking area. The transformer located on the hotel premises enabled direct cabling to the charging stations, making the project smooth and efficient.
The spa hotel addressed EV charging needs with a versatile solution
The hotel’s parking area had no existing charging stations, and future expansion possibilities needed to be considered. The spa hotel experiences high traffic, especially in the summer, as a nearby ferry connects to islands in the area. This was taken into account in the charging needs of both passersby and hotel guests. Some drivers require fast charging for short visits, such as restaurant visits or a spa session, while others stay overnight and only need basic charging.
InterControl delivered a comprehensive charging solution that combines user-friendliness, flexibility, and efficiency. A key factor was the on-site transformer, which allowed direct cabling to the charging stations, making installation both cost-effective and quick.
Latinki Back-End System for Managing Basic and Fast Charging Stations
The project included three INCH Duo AC charging stations, each with two 22 kW Type2 charging outlets, addressing the need for basic EV charging. One of these stations was equipped with a payment terminal connected to the Latinki Back-End System, enabling remote management and seamless payments via contactless payment methods.
Additionally, two Hypercharger 50 kW DC fast charging stations were installed, each supporting simultaneous charging for two vehicles at 25 kW or one vehicle at a maximum of 50 kW. These chargers allow hotel guests to quickly recharge their vehicles during short visits. The scalable cluster design ensures additional charging stations can be installed as demand increases in the future.
